Les photos ci-dessous illustrent une plante acquise, sous le nom de Brassia wageneri, de la firme Orchidexpert, le 8 novembre 1997. Après avoir vu ces photos, Norris H. Williams (Dept. of Natural History, Florida Museum of Natural History, University of Florida) écrivait, dans un courriel, le 28 mai 2003 : "The photos you posted are some of the best examples of Brassia caudata I have seen." Pour sa part, Jerry Suffolk (Central Vancouver Island Orchid Society) écrivait, dans un autre courriel, le 28 mai 2003 : "The plant in your photographs is the Caribbean form of
Caudata. The South American forms tend to have less spotting. It is not
